Welcome to
The Maidstone Hospital
League of Friends
Who we are
The League of Friends (LoF) has existed in the Maidstone hospital virtually as long as the National Health Service has been in existence. We started at the old hospital building that was located in Marsham Street, Maidstone town centre. We moved with the hospital in 1983 to virtually our present site and we continue to flourish and support the hospital.
Maidstone Hospital League of Friends (LoF) aim to provide a link between the hospital Trust and the community it serves, and supports the hospital in any way possible.
What we do
The LoF is very active in providing funding each year to purchase items of equipment for the Trust. We also fund research in the hospital and fund focus groups where they are shown to be of use to patients.
The National Association of Leagues of Hospital Friends was formed over 50 years ago. There are approximately 1000 affiliated branches, of which Maidstone Hospital is one.
The Maidstone Hospital League of Friends started in 1983 and supports the hospital by offering a number of services and fundraising. We are a very active branch, providing many thousands of pounds each year for the purchase of hospital equipment.
